Mr. Clean

Now, if you know anything about my husband... you know that he is a clean freak. While it has its advantages (you wont hear me complain often) sometimes... the freak comes out at times I'd rather be in bed!!! (That came out wrong.....) But you know what I mean!

I happend to catch him, on a rampage one day, in a good mood and had to grab my camera......

The journaling says: "He can strike at any moment.. but usually on Saturday mornings. before anyone can do anything fun- the Nazis work must be done!"

You know it was summertime... look at that tan. Yummy. lol

Wide Open Spaces

Well, I think I'm breaking out of that funk. Getting organized is what did it. It took me oh... only six months or so to order pictures. Otherwise, I probably would have been scrappin a long time ago. This year Im transitioning.. Ive been doing an album for each kid. Thats not really going to work out. lol Bailey has 6 albums, Brooke 5, and DJ's up to 2. Being they are only 6, 4, and 2 years old... I see a LOT of albums by the time they are 18!

So Im changing it up. Im going to finish their current albums up to their birthday this year (which have already passed for all three) and Im doing family albums from now on. Starting with the current year. I only have about 20 pages to do to be completely caught up. So I'm taking my time and working slowly. Its nice to not be rushed with the thought of "being behind" in the back of my mind.

It was a rocky start getting back into it. I started with some pictures from this past summer when me and Darren went tubing. This was how it started....

I quit on that page at that point because it sucked so badly. Put it up for a couple of weeks. Came back and ended up with this one...

Things have been busy, needless to say, around here! The kids are getting big and we just try to keep up! I've got some other pages... but I figured I wouldnt waste them all up in one post. :) Instead, enjoy these lil ratheads...

The Funk

Yeah, so Im definitely in a funk when it comes to scrappin or card making. Im just havent been feeling it lately... I looked through a friends scrapbook idea book (Scrapbook Trends June 2007) I have to get that book!!!! Im gonna borrow it and try to crank out some pages! I really need to order some pictures. I got a email for 25 free prints through Shutterfly.. Im about to cash in on that! So I hope to be back on here soon posting a bunch of fun pages! Sorry Ive been MIA!

Card Shark

I've been working on cards for the past two days for the Mommysavers monthly crop! Here they are! Im so happy to be finished! I've also picked up my trimmer a little and am out of my 2 month scrapbooking funk. I'll post those pages soon! See ya then.

I always seem to go at least a month without doing one page after a retreat. Today I finally got some motivation to do a page. Im working on my friend, Erica's, album for her so I decided to get started. Here's what I came up with. I really love this picture of Christian. He's so funny!

What's Scrappening?

So, since my retreat I'm current on all of my scrapbooks. Which is a pretty big accomplist *I* think. Especially since I do albums for each child. I'm not sure why I started out like that... probably because at the time.. I only had one child. So, of course, the album I started revolved around her! Whatever, looking forward.. I want each of my kids to have their own albums.

My mom kept a journal for each of us kids as a baby. And I CHERISH mine! Its only one journal and it spans from my birth till about 2 years of age. So, I can see my kids, especially my girls really appreciating all the work I do when they are my age. I wish scrapbooking was as huge back then as it is today. My mom would have been great at it!

So this is a page that I did this morning. My whole point to my rant was that now that Im current I can really take my time with my pages now. I only have a handful of pictures to work on so Im having to teach myself some patience! Im usually trying to just get caught up! Now that I am.. I can concentrate on my pages. I usually average 30 minutes to 1 hour on a page.

I just love that picture of Bailey. She didnt really "get it" she's all "Why is it only half of my face?" I told her it was artistic. lol I can't wait till she is old enough to go to all night crops with me. Just me and her!

Anyway, I have some fun news. I am on my first design team! It's for a company called Cropkits. The company hasnt even launched yet (Jan. 1st) and Im still figuring out exactly all it entails.. but Im pretty excited to see what happens and how it goes! I'll keep ya updated!

Explain Yourself!

Ohhhhhh, how could I forget to explain the whole competitive scrapbooking thing.

Its kinda funny... to me anyway. When we went to this retreat it was me , Cat, and Amy.. the owner of the place and one more older lady. There was another cabin filled with this other group of women. Two ladies I knew.. but the rest I didnt. Anyway, we went over there to check out the scene and see what they were up to. And as soon as we walked through the door one of the chicks looked at Amy (since she was the 1st one in) and said "There's my scrapbook. Do you want to look at it?"

When we left she was like "Dayum! Did you hear her?" LOL I was joking around and said "No sh*t.. its like competitive scrapbooking!" Then it hit me... I was like OMG! Thats what Im going to start putting on those stupid surveys, and applications.. crap that asks you what your hobbies are.. Im just going to start putting "Competitive scrapbooking!"

Anyway, it became this whole thing all weekend.

That same girl came over to our hood later that day and was checking out our pages.. and just kept commenting on how beautiful our kids are and not anything about our pages. When she left I was, again, like.. yeah, thats competitive scrapbooking. lol

I decided to theme my whole Mommysavers crop on it. LOL

I think its HILARIOUS!

Competitive Scrapbooking

I spent the weekend with two of my very best friends. Becky and Becky (AKA Amy and Cat)

Two of the best people I know. They are awesome. We had a great time. We had a whole room basically to ourselves and chat chitted, scrapped, and laughed our butts off!!!
